Conversación avanzada
Through this Spanish Conversation course, students will have the opportunity to put to practice Spanish level 3 concepts.
This is an excellent course for graduates of the Advanced Spanish course who would like additional conversation practice while taking an Advanced II or higher course.. This course is also ideal for persons who would like to continue honing their Spanish conversation skills before taking the Advanced II course.
*Please note that it is not required to attend all sessions of this course, as the structure of this curriculum will allow for students to attend on a drop-in basis. However, regardless of number of sessions that student attends, full tuition cost applies.
Parts A and B
The differences between A and B are the vocabulary themes and grammar topics covered. Students are not required to have already attended part A in order to attend part B. One or both can be attended, in either order.
Part A Vocab Topics: Relaciones personales, La Rutina Diaria, El Mundo Académico, El medioambiente, El Ocio Y Pasatiempos, Las Metas y Retos
Part A Grammar Topics: Double object pronoun placement, Perifrasis Verbales Con Gerundio, Perifrasis Verbales Con El Infinitivo, La Voz Pasiva, El Uso De "Mismo", Sino y Sino que
Part B Vocab Topics: Diferencias Culturales Entre El Mundo Hispano y EEUU, Medioambiente, El Euro, Evolución De Tecnología, Medidas y Medir
Part B Grammar Topics: Preterit versus imperfect, subjunctive, relative pronouns, double object pronoun placement, conjunctions with subjunctive, lo.
Prerequisites
Admission to the Spanish Conversation course requires demonstration of proficiency of level 3 concepts. Student must have successfully completed a level 3 course, or must demonstrate proficiency in level 3 Spanish concepts.

Upon completion of the Advanced Spanish Conversation course, the student will:
- Master understanding of such advanced level concepts as demonstrative adjectives, double object pronoun placement, relative pronouns, commands, stressed possessive adjectives, the differences between ¨ser and estar, concordance, and irregular verb conjugation.
- Master understanding of verb tenses typically covered at advanced level (imperfect, preterit, present perfect, and present subjunctive)
Prerequisites
Admittance to this course requires demonstration of proficiency of level 1, 2, and 3 concepts. Student must have successfully completed the level 3 course, or must demonstrate an aptitude in level 3 concepts.
